Abby Aasen

Originally from Minnesota, Abby made her way to San Diego to embrace a new chapter on the West Coast after growing up in the Midwest and attending school back East. With the flexibility of working remotely, she jumped at the chance to explore life by the ocean—and now feels lucky to live just steps from the beach, where morning walks to the water are part of her daily routine.

Abby’s love for fitness stems from a lifelong connection to sports and staying active. Moving her body makes her feel good, and she brings that same energy to every class she teaches. Known for her tough, results-driven workouts, Abby challenges clients to go beyond their comfort zones. “Hard” is how she describes her teaching style—and she takes pride in watching people leave class in shock, but also proud of what they’ve accomplished.

Her favorite moves? Hip thrusts, band work, and anything that targets the glutes. (She’s definitely Team Squat.) What motivates her most is watching others dig deep and rise to the challenge—it inspires her to push herself harder, too.

Outside the studio, Abby loves being outdoors, capturing moments with her film camera, and trying new restaurants with friends. A passionate traveler, she’s already visited 20 countries—and always brings her camera along for the adventure. Her advice for anyone starting their fitness journey? “It’s a mental game. Even when you’re sore or think you can’t go up a level, just know you can do it!!”
